Using Drones in the Built Environment: What You Need to Know

As drone technology has increased rapidly over the last few years, drone usage within the building industry has too. Drones have become a more commonly-used tool, making it possible to provide visual observation and photo documentation-once considered too complicated or expensive-in a quick, efficient manner for unique projects. This program is intended as a primer for professionals interested in an overview of drone usage within the industry, licensing requirements, rules and regulations, hardware and software, and a few profiles of WJE projects featuring drone usage.
