Join us for an evening of inspiration and fun while members of our own Structural Engineering community share their experiences and opportunities where Structural Engineers like yourself can use their knowledge and skills to serve the community. We will have speakers from CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), FEMA Urban Search & Rescue, CAL OES SAP (Safety Assessment Program) and Safer Cities Recon teams talk about how they have directly assisted immediately following a disaster and how we have taken that knowledge back to SEAOSC to further our profession and save lives.

You'll hear stories from the Northridge Earthquake, Hurricane Katrina, Oklahoma City Bombing, the recent fires in Northern California and the Mexico City EQ from members of our own SEAOSC Community who experienced them first hand as a Structural Engineer.

Join us for the cocktail hour prior to the dinner where each of these agencies will be available to answer questions and help guide you in how to get involved yourself!

There are many of you who volunteer your time with organizations such as the ones above and other groups that serve the community utilizing your Structural Engineering skills….YOU are invited to attend this event in your uniform or wear identifying jackets, shirts, hats, etc, so your peers can ask about what your group does and you can help other engineers get involved!
