ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Andrew is a native Californian and 1980’s graduate of Cal Poly SLO’s Industrial Technology program. He started his career serving private construction firms as a Superintendent and a Project Manager. Most of his career, however was serving the Cities of Ventura (Fire Marshal/Chief Building Official) and Santa Barbara (Chief Building Official). In 2018, Andrew was elected as a Director for CALBO, the State’s association of Building Officials. In that role he worked very closely with Cal OES and SEAOSC in Disaster Preparedness and implementation of the Cal OES Safety Assessment Program.
