    The NAAB accredited School of Architecture at Academy of Art University is seeking fixed-term, part-time Instructors for openings in the school’s graduate and undergraduate departments.  Candidates must possess in-depth knowledge of contemporary architecture and standards to effectively support our school’s program. With an emphasis on design, technical ability, and social equity, we encourage students to see themselves as agents for change. Responsibilities will involve teaching and mentoring architecture students in a multi-faceted curriculum.

    Positions are available onsite in San Francisco or online, as determined by enrollment need for the Spring 2025 semester.

    Qualifications:

    • Professional degree in Architecture, Master’s degree, and licensed architects are preferred.
    • Must present a portfolio of professional or scholarly work and have experience in the profession.
    • Evidence of exceptional ability through professional or academic achievements.
    • Engaging presence, passion for teaching, building relationships with students, and guiding students on their educational and professional paths.
    • Ability to teach with an awareness of diversity issues within a multicultural educational environment.
    • Prior teaching experience is preferred.
