    Engineering Project Manager

    Location: Los Angeles Metropolitan Area (Hybrid)
    Compensation: $125,000 – $165,000 annually
    Employment Type: Full-time

    About the Role

    SSI is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to play a key role in supporting our continued regional and nationwide expansion. This position offers the opportunity to lead complex, large-scale commercial projects and collaborate directly with contractors, engineers, and vendors to deliver best-in-class engineered solutions focused primarily on projects in the local Southern California market.

    You will oversee the engineering design, fabrication, and supply of non-structural supports for largescale commercial MEP systems, ensuring project quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction. This is a hands-on leadership role within a fast-growing organization that values precision, accountability, and long-term relationships. Position is full-time hybrid role primarily working from home but requiring periodic (weekly/monthly customer and job site visits.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage all phases of project delivery — including design, engineering, fabrication, and supply — to ensure seamless execution of turnkey MEP support systems.
    • Oversee preparation and delivery of engineering packages and associated construction materials with a focus on accuracy, schedule adherence, and quality.
    • Monitor project schedules, budgets, risk management and performance metrics to ensure alignment with company objectives.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, engineers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
    • Contribute to process improvement and help refine internal systems as SSI scales to meet growing nationwide demand.

    Qualifications

    • 3–7 years of experience in structural design, MEP consulting, or project management.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred (or related field). Candidates with Mechanical/Civil degrees with relevant MEP engineering or project management experience and/or concrete anchor design experience are also encouraged to apply.
    • PE License preferred but not required.
    • Experience in Project Engineering and/or Construction Management
    • Proven ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines in a professional, solution-oriented environment.
    • Experience with non-structural gravity & seismic support design and prefabrication is beneficial.
